COLUMBIAS NIGHTMARE COMES TRUE
Colombian power striker Radamel Falcao will miss the World Cup after losing his battle to recover from the crushing knee injury he suffered while playing for his club Monaco in January. The 27-year-old Colombian suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage in a heavy tackle during his side’s 3-0 French Cup win at Chasselay Monts d'or Azergues. The referee failed to award Moncao a penalty and Soner Ertek, the player who caused the injury, went unpunished.
His absence from
the Colombian Team was confirmed on tuesday by coach Jose Pekerman. He also
stated that Luis Perea will also not be taking part in the World Cup as they
have not recovered from their injuries.
